My Story

My two great passions in life are fitness training and meditation

Dianne's journey into the world of competitive running began at the age of 25, marking a pivotal moment where she discovered the transformative power of physical fitness. 

Embracing her childhood dream, she embarked on this remarkable path, leading to a profound alignment of her body, mind, and spirit through dedicated training and growth.

Within just two years, Dianne achieved remarkable success, securing double gold at the Canada University Championships and earning the prestigious title of Athlete of the Year at York University. Subsequently, she proudly represented Canada on the national stage as a member of the Canadian National Team.

Dianne's journey into the world of competitive running not only marked a significant milestone in her athletic career but also sparked a lifelong passion for wellness. Through her experiences on the track, she discovered the profound impact that physical fitness can have on overall well-being. This realization ignited a flame within her, driving her to continually explore and advocate for holistic health practices throughout her life.

Dianne has long recognized the significant influence women wield in society and the pivotal role they play in driving change. In response to the concerning rise in obesity rates within North American society, she created the community program Fit Mom, Fit Child

Understanding that women often serve as primary healthcare decision-makers within families, Dianne saw an opportunity to effect meaningful change by empowering them.

Through strategic collaboration with The Toronto District School Board, Dianne successfully implemented her program in high-risk areas across Toronto, Canada. By focusing on the well-being of both mothers and children, she aimed to not only address the obesity epidemic but also foster healthier lifestyles within communities.

Dianne also served as a co-host on The Feminine Warrior podcast, providing a welcoming platform for women to explore their journeys of empowerment. Throughout her tenure, she engaged in enlightening conversations with remarkable individuals from diverse backgrounds, including luminaries like Marianne Williamson, Mariel Hemingway, and Rachel Hunter.

In each episode, guests shared their unique narratives, highlighting the common thread of overcoming adversity. What resonated most was not grand acts of courage or moments devoid of self-doubt, but rather a series of small, courageous choices—moments where they chose themselves, stood up for their beliefs, and spoke their truth.

These stories collectively illuminated the profound beauty of self-love and acceptance. Through the podcast, Dianne fostered an environment where authenticity and empowerment flourished, leaving a lasting impact on listeners.

Dianne's journey through athletics, wellness advocacy, and empowerment initiatives has converged into her latest endeavor: a carefully crafted three-month holistic wellness program. This program is not just a culmination of her experiences; it's a response to the gaps she's observed in traditional healthcare systems.

Dianne believes there is a strong emphasis on the significance of our daily health choices, as throughout her life, she has seen the profound impact that epigenetics and lifestyle choices have on our well-being and aging trajectory.

Because of this, Dianne recognizes the need for adaptable approaches that cater to individual needs. Mainstream methodologies often overlook the nuances of personal health journeys, offering generic solutions that fail to address the diversity of human experiences.

Why did I create the Holistic Longevity Wellness Program?

As a nutrition and longevity wellness coach for over 15 years, I have always been a skeptic of the conventional norms. I firmly believe that blindly following societal expectations is not the path to true fulfilment. Instead, I emphasize the difference between external power and authentic internal power.

Applying this principle to the realm of ageing, I recognized at a young age that we inhabit a toxic world filled with polluted air, contaminated water, and unhealthy food. However, I soon realized that this toxicity extended beyond our physical surroundings and into the beliefs we hold. It became clear to me that I am the gatekeeper of my own inner world, with the power to choose what beliefs and truths I allow in.

Drawing from my background in fitness, I discovered the empowering potential of this platform in achieving personal goals across all areas of life. Through fitness, my mission has always been to empower individuals by equipping them with knowledge to make informed choices. While mistakes are inevitable, the important distinction lies in consciously owning those choices, rather than blindly following outdated programming ingrained since childhood.

My academic journey in psychology further solidified my understanding that we are multifaceted beings. Talk therapy alone seemed insufficient, as it addressed only one aspect of our complex selves. Recognizing the need to address the whole person, I believe that when we comprehend and support each component of our being, we can achieve remarkable results at any age.

Taking a holistic body-mind perspective, I acknowledge the profound interconnections between various facets of our lives. It is at this intersection that everything truly aligns and flourishes.

My understanding of our deep-rooted relationship with food was further cemented when I became a mother. Making a conscious choice, I allowed my daughter to decide when she was full, trusting her innate understanding that our bodies naturally signal when we have had enough. To my surprise, I encountered resistance from those around me, highlighting how we have lost touch with this fundamental wisdom.

As a nutrition and longevity wellness coach, my purpose is to guide individuals towards reclaiming their power over their own health and well-being. By questioning the status quo, addressing the whole person, and re-establishing a harmonious relationship with food, body, and mind, I empower people to embrace conscious choices that lead to vibrant and fulfilling lives.
